February Letter
Hello, and welcome.
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little about my “house” — and to make it clear from the start that all are welcome here.
I’m the hands and heart behind Stones, Strings + Things, a brand that has been evolving and growing alongside me for a long time. When I chose the name, I wanted it to be expansive — something that could hold everything. From beads, to bookmarks, to personal breakthroughs. That’s where the “things” comes in. It isn’t limiting. It gives me permission to bring all the pieces of myself into this passion project.
I think of Stones, Strings + Things as a house with many rooms under one roof — not separate spaces that have to live apart.
For a long time, I felt stuck trying to make everything fit together in a neat, perfect bow. I thought I needed clarity before I could move forward. But eventually, I had an a-ha moment: I don’t need everything packed up perfectly. I’m allowed to be a little messy, a little mismatched — and still make sense.
That realization changed everything.
Jewelry, making and creating, beautiful things, movement, motherhood, intuition, even rage walks — these are all parts of me, and they all belong in this house. I’m so excited to explore these topics (and more) and to hear from you as we build this community together. You might share these same interests, or you might introduce me to something entirely new — and I love the idea that this space can spark curiosity, learning, and connection in unexpected ways.
If you’re here, you’re already a part of it.
You are welcome in this safe, judgment-free, thoughtfully curated space — one I hope brings a lot of good.
With the new year here, I'm working on being more intentional with myself and one small ritual I’ve been leaning into lately is journaling. For years, new journals felt too pretty to touch, too perfect to risk getting wrong. But lately, I’ve been using mine simply as a place to get things out of my head — naming feelings, sorting thoughts, and moving ideas forward instead of letting them live on a mental loop. It’s imperfect and still evolving, but it feels supportive — and that’s enough. If you have any great journaling tips and tricks, I'd love to hear them!
Thank you for being here, and for stepping under this roof with me. I’m really glad you are.
Before I go, I’d love to know: what’s something you’ve been making space for lately — or something you wish you had more room for?
With gratitude,
Stephanie
